About the Class

Come learn with us for a 4-week series on Good Health and Nutrition! Each class will be a 1.5-hour talk on nutrition topics. Throughout the month we will gradually build your knowledge of nutrition and dispel myths. At the conclusion of the first hour we will stay for up to an additional hour with anyone that is interested for a more casual Q&A section to cover additional questions.

• Maximizing Micronutrients
• Boost your immune system

Something a little different…we will not be cooking! Though, don’t fear we will have a snack for you! We will prepare healthy snacks before each class for you to enjoy and share a little about how we made it and the recipe!

We are offering an introductory rate of $60 for the series (only $15 per class). Hope to see you there!

About the Instructor(s)

Lisa M Miller, BS, NC

Certified as a Nutrition Consultant from Bauman College where she studied holistic nutrition and graduated with honors. This program built on Lisa’s science and athletic background. • Lisa’s nutrition philosophy is based on an organic whole food diet with a balance of good animal and plant based proteins and fats and crunchy, leafy and starchy carbohydrates. Healthy eating combined with an active lifestyle and positive attitude are important for overall wellness. • Lisa comes by her passion and interest in nutrition from her upbringing with her family as well as her athletic lifestyle. Lisa spent time with her paternal grandmother and great aunt on weekends and during the summers as a child picking fresh produce on the farm and making breads and pies starting with whole grains and cooking in a solar oven. As a athlete Lisa has leveraged her nutrition knowledge to optimize performance and overall wellness. In addition to leading the nutrition program at Kitchen on Fire, developing and teaching courses, she also has a private practice seeing clients for individual nutrition consultations.
